Wrapping Up Seattle’s Busy Season: August 2020

The Joseph Group Aug 2020

Ian Joseph

“Clients first!” – is a huge part of the DNA that Ian Joseph and his Team have established at The Joseph Group. This motto helps them focus on striving for the highest level of customer experience, for their clients (landlords) and customers (tenants). In fact, Ian strongly believes that in life, family and business, you must strive to give more than you receive. “You can have everything in life you want if you help enough other people get what they want." - Zig Ziglar

As Seattle’s real estate busy season draws to a close, I can confidently say that 2020 has not followed suit with the busy seasons that came before it. COVID has changed everything. I’m sure many of you are like me in that we’ve started to normalize our new reality, but our days still feel disjointed. However, our city’s rental market is still going strong. We’re seeing less than a week’s turnaround on listings all around Seattle, which is a great sign for property owners and tenants alike.

If you are having trouble with finding tenants,   our best piece of advice is to not overprice your unit.  The pandemic market is no time to shoot for the moon when it comes to price. People are looking for new homes, but they are rightfully being much more conservative with their financial decisions. When we price units fairly, we have no trouble attracting great tenants. We’re always available if you need help finding a fair price for your rental property, so feel free to reach out to us at 206-483-7788 with any questions.

Lastly, it’s easy to forget in the height of Seattle busy season that our city is at its most beautiful during this time. I encourage everyone to take some time in these last few weeks of summer to go outside and enjoy the summer sun!
